Cytogeneticist Department: Clinical Location: Richmond, VA

The Clinical Cytogeneticist should possess the following:

Job Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

• Ability to supervise and direct the operations of a clinical cytogenetic diagnostic laboratory
• A technical expertise and knowledge in quality control and quality assessment procedures
• A broad knowledge in human cytogenetics, including broad knowledge in human cytogenetics, including cancer, and leukemia
• A strong diagnostic and interpretive skills in a wide range of cytogenetic problems.

Education

• Ph.D Degree

Experience

• ABMG board certified
• Communicate cytogenetic laboratory results in the capacity of a consultant to medical genetics professionals, other clinicians, and other professional staff
