QA/QC Associate

Job Description:
Responsible for reviewing source documents and data for the purpose of ensuring accurate and complete reporting of medical information. Will assist pathologists with transcription, researching cases, and other duties, as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
- Verifying eligibility and benefits
- Determine patient coverage/responsibility for services provided by Bostwick Laboratories
- Obtaining authorizations
- Entering patient insurance data
- Utilizing various resources to obtain insurance coverage information including referral source, insurance provider, patients, physicians and practioners
- Verifying information from patients and clients
- Manage inbound calls regarding inquires about insurance information
- Knowledgeable in all types of plans

Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- Previous medical office and computer experience is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology a plus
- Must have excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail is critical
