Dr. Banerjee is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and board eligible in cytopathology. He received his medical degree (M.B.B.S) from Stanley Medical College, Madras, India and finished his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Dallas, TX. He also has a Ph.D. in molecular microbiology from Indiana State University, Terre Haute, IN. Dr. Banerjee’s experience prior to joining Bostwick Laboratories includes a fellowship in cytopathology coupled with subspecialty breast pathology training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Parkland Health and Hospital System, Dallas, TX and a fellowship in molecular biology as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Texas Houston Health Sciences Center. He has several first author publications in peer reviewed journals and has also contributed to several other publications as a secondary author. He holds professional affiliations with the College of American Pathologists and American Society of Clinical Pathologists. He received the Paul E Strandjord Young Investigator Award two times from the Academy of Clinical laboratory Physicians and Scientists during his residency. |
