Dr. Deloar Hossain graduated from Sylhet M. A. G. Osmani Medical college of Bangladesh. He is board certified in anatomic pathology and clinical pathology (1999) and cytopathology (2000) by American board of Pathology. He is certified in general pathology by Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of the Canada (2000).

After working a year as staff pathologist at the Dr. E. Chalmers Hospital he joined the University of Manitoba/Health Sciences center as an assistant professor and staff pathologist in 2001. He worked there for five years as a reference pathologist for urologic pathology for the province of Manitoba. He was program director for the residency program in anatomic pathology and general pathology at the University of Manitoba (2005/2006). He served in various leadership and academic positions including chair of standard/quality assurance committee of anatomic pathology/cytopathology of the Winnipeg regional health authority and member of the standard/quality assurance committee of Cancer Care Manitoba.

He served as a nucleus committee member of specialty committee of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (2005/2006). He had multiple visiting/research fellowship with Dr. David Bostwick at Bostwick Laboratories (2002-2005). He published many peer reviewed articles and abstracts in reputable journals. He joined the Bostwick Laboratories in October of 2006.
