Dr. Macasaet graduated from the Far Eastern University Institute of Medicine, Philippines. Before joining Bostwick Laboratories, Dr. Macasaet trained at the Kansas University Medical Center (Virology), Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital (Pathology) and Mayo Clinic (Microbiology). He was later commissioned in the U.S. Army Medical Corps and was assigned as a pathologist to several military hospitals. He retired after 20 years of service with a rank of Colonel.
