Dr. Coelho has more than 20 years of experience in pathology. She received her medical degree from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in Brazil and completed residencies in anatomic pathology at the University of Chicago and in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Miami.

Prior to joining Bostwick Laboratories, Dr. Coelho was a fellow and instructor in pathology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the University of Chicago. She has also served as staff pathologist for Hialeah Hospital, Hollywood Medical Center, National Health Laboratories and Laboratory Corporation of America.

Dr. Coelho is certified by the American Board of Pathology in both anatomic pathology and cytopathology.
