Culture and Susceptibility
Urine Culture and Susceptibility Testing
The culture test includes the quantitation, isolation and identification of up to two organisms at >10,000 colonies/mL. The susceptibility is to determine the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) susceptibility of a given organism to an antimicrobial agent. Results may be qualitatively reported as Susceptibility (S), Intermediate (I), or Resistant (R).
